There are two types of oils that are sold on the market, oil that is produced from one origin and oil that is blended with many other oils.? Oil that comes from one origin is usually called by its origin name such as olive oil and rapeseed oil.? On the other hand oil that is blended is called by its use names such as salad oil, tempura oil, and cooking oil.? Moreover, products that are not mixed with any other substances such as lard and butter are called pure lard and pure butter.
There are two categories in oil such as animal oil and vegetable oil, however, oil is not categorized by this, but is categorized from the type of fatty acid it contains.
-The group with a plentiful of saturated fatty acids.? Meat, Egg, and Dairies.
-The group with a plentiful of non saturated fatty acids. Vegetable Oil, Seaweed, Labiates, and oil that is taken from clams.
Saturated fatty acids are known to raise cholesterol levels, and non saturated fatty acids are known to do the direct opposite.? Non-saturated fatty acids can not be produced within the body, and can only be taken through eating.? From this, it is called essential Fatty Acids Because the Japanese don’t use fish oil in their diets, it is known that they take in 30% of their essential fatty acids through vegetable oil.? Taking in too much of meat, eggs, and dairies which contain saturated fatty acids, may harden you veins, cause cancer in your intestines, and create problems for you.
The amount of unsaturated fatty acids in meat, from most to least, Poultry, pork, and beef?
In fish meat, there is about an equal amount of both saturated and unsaturated fat acids.? Although, poultry is known to be healthy, fish meat lowers more cholesterol than poultry and is known to be better for your health.? This categorization is also made from how the oils are at room temperatures.? Unsaturated fatty acids at room temperatures turn soft and become liquid. The more saturated it is, the more it becomes harder and solid.? From the hardness of the oil, you can tell whether the oil is easy to dry or not
